  1. He’s a beauty too. Amazing freedom of movement in his shoulders, flexible croup, and kind eyes. All the makings of an amazing equine partner.

    • Thanks so much. Come meet him. He’d love to meet you…

  2. I grew up loosing myself in every horse book I could find to read. Strategy, reminds me of my love for C.W. Anderson.

  3. I am enjoying looking at Strategy and imagining how his body will mature. His mind is a gimme, his body has the strength, will his new owner treat him kindly? After all, fortunes turn.

    • How perceptive of you. We try to keep tabs, and because of all the networking often get news we wouldn’t get otherwise. Have gotten horses back through roundabout sets of circumstances but actually the majority find their way to good situations. Maybe you’ll meet him (hint, hint).

      • The best I can do for him is draw him from these photos. That’s what I’m jazzed about right now. I have 20 years of experience that I’ve thrown away because of physical pain and disability. Strategy has inspired me to begin drawing horses w/the eye of an experienced horseman influenced by the greats in equine illustration. I am humbled by my hubris, I am intimidated by my hubris, yet my hubris fuels my hope.

      • When could we see some drawings?

He looks so much like Springfield. . . he could be a clone.

  5. My @RadicalUterus twitter has a photo of some notes and a work in progress pic. The angle of the Strategy pic I’ve chosen is the most difficult for me, in my estimation. I am picturing Radical Uterus riding sidesaddle holding her shield, the Fibroid of Fury, wielding the Baseball Bat of Happiness and dodging bullets. That’s all I got. I admit I am having a hard time shaking the impulse to recreate the Mel Gibson battlefield make-up on Radical.
